Wednesday 20.03.2013 — We pray that government leaders would have the wisdom to make laws that are genuinely just, laws that appropriately balance individual rights with community responsibility…laws that promote human rights at home and encourage human rights abroad.

Pray for those in leadership in sport and culture.  Ask God to give these leaders discernment to recognize gifts in young people and encourage them to develop their God-given talents in sports, arts, music, etc.  Pray that God will raise up God-called Christians who will use these culturally popular expressions to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today — the last full day of the project — the Berlin youth team will be doing some refurbishing work for a Christian outreach cafe in Friedrichshain then going to Alexanderplatz for our second street outreach.  Pray that the team will raise awareness of authentic, experiential faith in Jesus Christ and have opportunities to share their stories of following Jesus.

Tonight ALL of the McKinney groups from Germany and Poland will gather at IBC Berlin for dinner, a celebration “Quake,” and a youth lock-in before they head back home early on Friday morning.

Thursday 14.03.2013 — We pray that our speaking with one another will be guided by love and not determined by hateful or violent words.  May our goal be to “speak the truth in love” so that we move our interactions toward the goals of understanding, balance, and clarity.

Wednesday was a full day of connecting with two different Berlin “high schools,”  organizing/sorting donations at the Berliner Stadtmission, and working with “Serve the City” Berlin.  With “Serve the City” the team supported the Salvation Army Cafe, helped with a children’s program in an elementary school, and painted hallways/apartments in a housing development.
