Ramadan — 30 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Ramadan — a month of prayer and fasting for Muslims — begins this Friday 20. July and goes through 18. August.  Muslims around the world will be fasting to suppress their desires and praying to increase their piety as an act of faith and worship of Allah.

Since 1993 Christians around the world have joined Muslims during Ramadan with their own 30 Days of Prayer and Fasting in order to pray for the Muslim world.  The 30-Days of Prayer Network (click on the link) provides information to help Christians understand the Islamic faith, promote grace and truth, and pray for the Muslim world.

Download the day-by-day guide to praying for the Muslim world during Ramadan and use it to deepen your faith through prayer.  Look through the “30-Days” website and learn more about Islam and the Muslim people of the world.  Download the article — Sharing Christ with Muslims, by Billie Hanks, Jr. — to learn how to strengthen your witness to your Muslim friends.
