Ministry Teams

Children Ministry

Want to make a difference in the lives of IBCBerlin’s children 4-6 and 7-10? Our children ministry volunteers alternate their once-a- month commitment between teaching and assisting. Teaching involves, preparing a lesson from provided lesson plan and leading the lesson with the children. Assisting involves supporting the teacher and helping maintain classroom environment. This is a great opportunity to express your love for Christ and his teachings, by working with the children. Contact Ayanna Edwards for more information.

Fellowship Ministry

Do you have a servant heart that sees things needing to be done along with the willingness to do them? If so, you may have what it takes to be a part of our Fellowship Ministry responsible for our 1st Sunday Fellowships and our special all-church meals. Join this team of dedicated servants who often work behind the scenes to serve us all in practical ways. Contact Werner and Phoebe Bäuerle, Fellowship Team Leaders, for more information.

IBCB Gospel Choir

The IBCB Gospel Choir is a group of singers who love to sing gospel music. The group is open to everyonein the church and not in the churchwho are interested in expressing themselves through music and developing their singing gifts. The choir will practice regularly, take part in special music events, and occasionally complement our worship. To get more information, contact Foster Agbor.

Office Support Ministry

Got skills to help out with some basic office support one hour per week? If updating a database and directory, printing and folding bulletins, maintaining signs, etc. is your thing and you could help Scott once a week (Thursday mornings?) join the office support team. Contact Scott for more information.

Pastor’s Prayer Partners Ministry

The Pastor’s Prayer Partners commit to praying for our pastor and church everyday using a general prayer guide. On their assigned day, the Pastor’s Prayer Partners pray “without ceasing” (i.e. repeatedly throughout the day) for specific prayer requests using a personal prayer guide provided by the pastor. If God has given you a ministry of praying, will you use it to intercede on behalf of our pastor and our church? Contact Bianca Spengler or Scott Corwin for more information.

Prayer Chain

Urgent prayer requests require immediate response. That’s the ministry of the Prayer Chain, a group of people who have a ministry of prayer on behalf of people who have urgent requests. To be a part of this group requires that you have email access since requests are distributed via email. For more information on the ministry of the Prayer Chain contact Petra Appel.

Preschool Ministry

Sign up to work with the cutest members of our church family (ages 0-3) once a month during the Sunday worship service. We're looking for "teachers" (prepare a lesson and craft in advance, roughly one-two hours prep time) and "helpers" (no prep time -- just show up). No experience necessary -- just a love for kids and a willingness to serve our families! Contact Heather Morton for more information.

Special Events

Are you an organizer with the availability to help coordinate periodic special events? A variety of skills are required for the varying events. If so, you could be of big help to the church. Contact Scott for more information.

Technical Ministry Teams: Audio, Visual, or Set Up

The Audio, Visual, and Set Up (a new team) ministries are responsible for taking care of all aspects related to the sound and beamer technologies of IBCB especially as it relates to Sunday worship. Volunteers skilled in technical matters are needed to help set up and monitor sound and video matters during worship.

Ushers

Are you a warm-hearted outgoing person that enjoys people? If so, then consider becoming an IBCB usher responsible for greeting and welcoming worshippers and supporting Sunday worship through setting up chairs, distributing bulletins, collecting the offering, etc. Contact Alma Fransisco, Usher Leader for more information.

Worship (MusicInstrumental and Vocal)

The music/worhip ministry helps lead IBCB in worship primarily through music. Vocalists and instrumentalists come together weekly to prepare for Sunday worship. If you have a passion for worship and you have God-given musical talent then the music/worship ministry may be your place of ministry. See a place where God can use you in ministry? If so, contact the church office to get you connected with your ministry of choice: email or phone: (030) 7621 8155.
