Wednesday was a full day of connecting with two different Berlin “high schools,” organizing/sorting donations at the Berliner Stadtmission, and working with “Serve the City” Berlin. With “Serve the City” the team supported the Salvation Army Cafe, helped with a children’s program in an elementary school, and painted hallways/apartments in a housing development.
Wednesday 13.03.2013 — We pray that politicians will not have the goal of strengthening their power but that they be concerned about people and about doing what is just and right.
Pray for today’s outreach projects as we connect with schools, help out at the “Stadtmission”, and support the ministry of the Youth Cafe Outreach Center Oranienburg.
Tuesday 1.03.013 — We pray that parents will be able to lovingly accompany their adolescents through the journey of transition and find the right balance between boundaries and freedom.
Pray for the youth team as they do street outreach in Steglitz and at Alexanderplatz. This morning we will be walking the “Shopping Mile” in the neighborhood of the IBC Berlin to help raise awareness of our church’s presence and to “share our stories” of faith (testimonies). This afternoon we will be joining a local evangelist who does street evangelism at Alexanderplatz the center of the former East Berlin. The team will be doing pantomimes, distributing invitations to an weekend outreach, and sharing their testimonies.
